Most monitor arms are built to hold a screen still while you look at it. That is a different job from holding a 24 or 32 inch pen display still while you lean on it. The Wacom Flex Arm was developed with Ergotron for the second job: it is stiff enough that the display does not give or bounce under drawing pressure.
It clamps to the desk edge and reaches up to 30 inches across the desk, so the display can be pulled in close for detail work and pushed back out of the way when the desk is needed for something else. Cable management is built into the arm, with extra straps in the box.
