Wacom Intuos Pro Large 2017 (PTH-860-N) Pen Tablet

The 2017 Intuos Pro was the generation that made the professional pen tablet thin and wireless. The Large model gives a 311 x 216 mm active area in a body 8 mm thick, so a big drawing surface no longer means a slab on the desk.

Wacom Pro Pen 2 is included: battery-free, 8,192 pressure levels and tilt recognition, with tracking fast enough that the line keeps up with the hand. Eight customisable ExpressKeys, a Touch Ring and the Radial Menu keep the common commands under the other hand, and multi-touch works on the tablet surface itself.

Where the Large Size Makes Sense

A large tablet is worth the desk space in two situations: when you draw with whole-arm movement rather than wrist movement, and when you are mapping the tablet across a large or multi-monitor canvas. If neither applies, the Medium (PTH-660-N) covers the same capability in less space.
